Sorry for the long wait scince my last post, it's been non stop traveling recently. Im actually writing this report in my hotel before i head up to Canada tomorrow! So, about a week ago i raced in Lake Placid and it was cold, really cold around -35. Luckly it did warm up a bit the next few days and on came te competition. I skied ok for me but ok doesn't cut it when your skiing in a world cup race so i ended up at the back of the field. So a few days later i left New York and made my way to Copper Mountian to compete in two Nor-Am Skicross races hoping to ski better and gain all the experience i can. Again it was cold but more bareable than Lake Placid. The course wasn't as extreme as the world cups but fun none the less and for the first time this season i found myself in the finals, Qualifying 25th. I had a bad start in the race ending up at the back, the course was norrow and it's hard to overtake so i ended up 4th in my heat and knocked out 1st round. On to the next day (today infact) i skied better, qualifying 23rd. I got to the race feeling better then the day before and had a good start which left me battling for 2nd most of the way down. Battling so hard that i should of been paying more atention to the course, as i was trying to pass the racer infront of me i got air off a roll just before a double. Which left me skimming over the next two rolls and straight into the nets, game over. Luckly i escaped unharmed, just inoyed i hadn't got through to the next round. So on to Cypress in Canada next and hopefully i don't end up in the nets again!
