Kyle Busch Motorsports drops lawsuit against Rev Racing over NASCAR Truck Series payments
Matthew O'Haren-USA TODAY Sports

Kyle Busch Motorsports has dropped its lawsuit against Rev Racing over unpaid fees during the 2023 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series season, Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports reported Tuesday.

KBM claimed in the lawsuit that Rev Racing owed them $325,000. KBM partnered with Rev Racing last season, providing trucks for the team. Nick Sanchez piloted the No. 2 Chevrolet Silverado and as per the agreement, KBM would be paid $2.9 million.

Rev Racing states on its website that it’s “the competition arm of NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity Program and serves as the NASCAR-supported racing team charged with developing drivers, and pit crew members from diverse backgrounds and experiences in the NASCAR development series for future competition at NASCAR’s highest levels.”

Spire Motorsports, for which Kyle Busch is driving five Truck Series races for this season, is now supplying trucks for Rev Racing. Busch sold KBM to Spire Motorsports this past September. Sanchez won the first race of the 2024 season at Daytona International Speedway.

Kyle Busch posts solid finish at Dover

Busch, meanwhile, is in his second season piloting the No. 8 Chevrolet for Richard Childress Racing. Winless thus far this season, Busch recorded a fourth-place finish in this past Sunday’s Würth 400 at Dover Motor Speedway after sitting on the pole.

“I felt like today was a good day overall,” Busch said after the race, via NBC Sports. “There are still things to clean up, but I’m proud of a top-five effort. It felt like if we would have restarted third, I might have been able to keep pace maybe somewhere closer to the front. But starting where I did and having to race the 10 was difficult. I hate it for our guys that we didn’t get a better finish, but the FICO Camaro was good. Just struggled a bit on the long, long run.”
